pearls before swine

works » pearls before swine

In pearls before swine (120 min.) settling down of the physical material happens by referring to memory as a tool to stabilize practice in non-linear time: anything fits, but not everything goes.

The resulting patchwork score is each time re-negotiated by the performers in real time, which allows the generated meaning to be continuously transformed and in a state of flux. The use of a modular structure is intended to make the individual choices of the performers visible and expose the way in which the affect flows freely through the form.

With its insistence on simplicity and formal aspects of the tasks, the performance creates conditions for observing dynamic perceptual changes.
